Cancellation Policy

Thank you for considering Blue Wave Below for your trip. We understand that sometimes plans change, and we want to ensure that our cancellation policy is transparent and fair for our guests and business. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the following cancellation terms:

  1. Reservation and Payment: To confirm your spot on a day trip, we require a 50% deposit. The remaining balance must be paid at least 3 days before the scheduled departure. However, if you prefer to pay the balance in cash, it can be settled on the day of the trip.

  2. Cancellation by Blue Wave Below: Blue Wave Below may cancel a trip under the following circumstances. We will always communicate with you via email and make every effort to speak to you personally if the need to cancel arises.
    a. Weather Conditions: As our trips take place in open waters, we are subject to weather conditions. Your safety is our top priority, and we closely monitor updates regarding the suitability of weather conditions for our activities. If our crew determines that the weather is unsuitable for a safe experience, we reserve the right to cancel the trip. In such cases, we will reschedule your trip or provide a full refund.
    b. Insufficient Participants: We require a minimum number of participants to operate a trip. If we do not meet this minimum requirement, we will offer you an alternative date for rescheduling or provide a full refund. We will contact you a couple of days before the trip if we may not have enough participants. Final cancellation confirmation and a full refund will be provided the day before the trip. If you choose to proceed with the trip despite the lack of participants, you can pay the price difference to cover the minimum.

  3. Cancellation by Guest: If you need to cancel your reservation, please ensure that the cancellation request is submitted in writing with more than 48 hours notice to receive a full refund.
    a. Cancellations within 48 Hours: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled trip will be charged at the full price. However, we will make every effort to accommodate your request and reschedule your trip for another available date. If we are able to fill your spot and the rescheduling does not impact our operations, we will transfer your payment to the new date.
    b. No-Shows: In the event of a no-show, where a guest fails to appear for the trip without prior notice, the full price will be charged.
    Note: If you anticipate running late or encounter an emergency that prevents you from attending the trip, please inform our team as soon as possible. We have a maximum waiting time of 30 minutes.

  4. Intoxication Policy: For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, guests who arrive for the trip visibly intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to board or participate in the activity. In such cases, the payment will be forfeited.
