Manta Ray Dive

Dive with giant mantas and playful sea lions at La Reina, a beautiful dive site close to La Paz. This site is adorned with colorful corals, nudibranchs, and tropical fish, and it is a favorite spot for manta rays, who will often swim alongside divers. You will have the opportunity to look into the eyes of these majestic creatures while your guide captures video footage of your encounter.

La Reina History

After a 15-year absence from the Baja region, the Giant Mantas have made a triumphant return to La Reina. This stunning dive site has become an annual destination for these majestic creatures, bringing excitement and wonder to divers every year since their return was first noted in 2016.

Itinerary

An air-conditioned vehicle will collect you from your accommodation and transport you to the marina. During the journey, a breakfast snack will be provided, and we can stop for a traditional Mexican breakfast and coffee. The boat ride to La Reina takes approximately two hours, during which you may encounter pelagic life such as dolphins, whales, mobulas, or orcas. If the opportunity arises, we can take photos or snorkel with them.

Upon arriving at La Reina, you will have the opportunity to experience two dives and explore the mantas and other wonders of the dive site. A lunch will be provided on the boat, and we can stop at a secret spot with a stunning view to enjoy it.
