This day trip offers the chance to snorkel with playful sea lions and explore the stunning reefs of Espiritu Santo, home to a variety of tropical fish. As the host of one of the largest sea lion nurseries in the Baja region, Espiritu Santo Island is home to approximately 600 sea lions, providing a unique opportunity for interaction and cuddles with the curious sea lion pups.

Designated as a protected area and biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1995, Espiritu Santo Island is a breathtaking location located just a few miles off the coast of La Paz in the Sea of Cortez. Enjoy a day filled with snorkeling, fun, and natural wonders as you explore this incredible island and its inhabitants. This day trip also includes a traditional Mexican lunch and transportation to and from your accommodations in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose, or La Paz.

What is there to see?

During the boat ride to the snorkel area, you will have the opportunity to spot a variety of marine life, including sea lions, turtles, mobula rays, cow-nose rays, dolphins, sharks, birds, and even whales. Once you arrive at the snorkel area, you can explore the underwater world and marvel at the hundreds of different types of tropical fish that call this area home. It's truly a snorkeling experience like no other.

Itinerary

After departing from the marina, you will be provided with snorkel gear (if necessary) and can unwind while admiring the stunning scenery during the boat ride to the island. Keep an eye out for leaping schools of mobula rays and playful dolphins, and take in the breathtaking sights of the pristine beaches and rock formations.

During your snorkeling adventure, you'll encounter an impressive array of marine life, including adorable sea lion pups, vibrant coral, and a diverse range of tropical fish species.

As you journey back, you'll have the opportunity to visit bird colonies and marvel at the magnificent rock formations before arriving back at the marina.

After enjoying your snorkeling experience, you'll be treated to a traditional Mexican lunch before returning to your hotel via transportation.
