Gordo Banks

Experience the adrenaline rush of diving at Gordo Banks, a renowned dive site in Los Cabos. Depending on the conditions, the boat ride from the marina can take between 40 to 90 minutes, but the opportunity to encounter incredible marine life makes it worthwhile. With depths starting at 120ft, it's a deep and thrilling dive into the blue.

During the drifts, you may encounter schools of hammerhead sharks, sailfish, marlin, wahoo, dorado, tuna, giant groupers, snappers, rainbow runners, jacks, mobula rays, silky sharks, manta rays, dolphins, orcas, and even whale sharks between December and April. The site is also known for humpback whale sightings during those months.

We prioritize safety and quality experience, diving in small groups with experienced captains and dive guides who are passionate about sharks and the marine ecosystem. We aim to provide you with the best opportunity to encounter pelagic animals, even during surface intervals.

Remember

Absolutely, it's important to remember that the animals at Gordo Banks are wild and their presence cannot be guaranteed. Being a deep dive in the blue, it requires experienced divers who are comfortable diving in such conditions. Advanced Open Water (AOW) certification or above, as well as dive insurance, are necessary to participate in this dive.

To ensure the safety of all divers, a check-out dive will be required before heading to Gordo Banks. This allows the dive guides to assess the divers' skills and comfort level in the water. It's important to adhere to these safety measures to have a safe and enjoyable experience at this remarkable dive site.
